RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival Notes Online Pilot, Volunteer Registration

Clear Lake (Houston), TX –June 2, 2003-The RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival, tracing the history of manned flight with spectacular aerial performances each August at NASA/Johnson Space Center, has announced online registration for pilots, volunteers, and chase crews.  

“The interactive functionality of our online registration (www.ballunarfestival.com) will be an enormous logistical convenience for everyone involved in the festival’s production,” said Sunya Fitz, Treasurer of Ballunar Liftoff, Inc.  “For the first time, pilots, festival volunteers, and chase crews can register online.  This will enable us to allocate resources more efficiently, and  pilots can ensure that their personal profiles are accurate, current, and that their slot is reserved.”  Companies interested in reaching the broad audience the festival attracts can view sponsorship opportunities outlined on the site.

Scores will be posted in real time for the various balloon competitions, so enthusiasts the world over can follow their favorite pilot’s performance.  Media and fans will be able to download festival information and scores of photos of this and previous Ballunar events, or register to receive a monthly newsletter about the festival and ballooning in general.

Presented by Schepps Dairy (www.scheppsdairy.com), the non-profit, educational family event features special shape balloons from all over the world, some 130 feet tall, as well as literally scores of skydivers, astronauts, para-gliders, and powered flight vehicles of every description.
