Saturn’s ’08 Lineup at Ballunar Festival

Houston, TX –Oct 10, 2007 – Automaker Saturn will debut their new 2008 Saturn VUE to Gulf Coast residents at this month’s RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival, the autumn family entertainment event at the NASA/Johnson Space Center November 2nd-4th.      Admission, including free onsite parking and Saturday’s NASA mini-tour is a family-friendly $10 per car load.

“Saturn is the official vehicle of our festival, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing the innovative new designs and features they’ve implemented into this year’s lineup to cars,” said Steve Lombardi, one of the festival’s co-founders.  “Saturn has made huge inroads into the American automobile market by providing value, safety, economy, and style in a variety of packages.   We’re looking forward to seeing the new line.”

“We’re also excited about having Allstate back as the presenter of Saturday night’s balloon  launch,” Lombardi continued.  “In addition to their own giant hot air balloon that will participate in the navigational competitions, Allstate is bringing a 20-foot, remote controlled helium airship, reminiscent of the luxury flying craft of the early 20th Century.  The Allstate Airship will be floating around Rocket Park and the balloon fields all weekend, joining the parachute exhibitions, para-gliders, hang-gliders, model rockets and airplanes, and other aerial acrobatics.”

The non-profit RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival sprouted wings in 1992 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the first hot air balloon flight in the United States.   Sponsored by the City of Nassau Bay and produced by hundreds of Clear Lake area volunteers, the festival promotes math and science interest in young people through the study of aviation.

The festival opens at 6:00pm Friday, November 2nd with this year’s Halloween Bash and trick-or-treating for costumed youngsters, and a weekend-long carnival of music, arts & crafts, food, and entertainment for the entire family.

Saturday’s NASA Mini Tour takes attendees behind the scenes to look at astronaut training and the space vehicle mock-up facilities.
