Dear Pilots,

You are cordially invited to apply for the 18th annual RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival.

We are looking forward to a weekend filled with fun competitive balloon flights and a large variety of other aviation related activities.

The event is open to all to apply, however, priority will be given to those who have previously attended and who helped build this event into what it has become today.

Registration will take place on Thursday October 28th with the competitive competition beginning Friday morning October 29th during the media flight.

We are excited to announce that once again the event will be BFA sanctioned while hosting the BFA Southwest Regional Championships.

Something new!

Each year we ask our pilots to fly two sponsor/passengers for us. We do this because this is something our sponsors like to see included in the sponsor package and without them we would have no event.

However, I know those of you with small balloons have had issues with flying people in the past and those of you with larger balloons are asked to pick up the slack for them which isn’t fair.

I have recently learned that we have been somewhat guilty of this in the past which I apologize for.

This year all balloons (other than corporate) will be asked to fly at least one passenger for us (passenger load permitting). We will coordinate the passenger weight with the size of the balloon you will be flying. With the festival now held in the fall and with the cooler temperatures this should not be a factor for anyone.

I do know that some of you like to fly more than one passenger because they make great crew or you like to meet new people.

What we plan to do this year is each boarding pass that is turned in after the passenger has been flown will be used enter the pilots name in for (5) $100 cash prizes. The more passengers you fly the more chances you have to win.

Please register without delay since we will be filling up quickly.
